People in the United States, especially those who are marginalized, are profoundly impacted by the recent election and the xenophobic, homophobic, misogynistic, anti-Semitic, Islamophobic, racist and sexist oppressions that are occurring.

We cannot be quiet and allow persecution and discrimination to take the reins of our country and the world.   Hate crimes and harassment are escalating in the US.  We must remain vigilant.  We must fight for justice and equity.  We must continue to be seen and to be heard.

This movement, Roar From the Heart, is an individual and collectivist project.   This is also our platform as marginalized, oppressed and intimidated individuals to take a stand for humanity and equity. Here, we will express our anger, hopes and “voices” through the art of photography. All photos are to be hashtagged #roarnow for everyone to see.
